Check Problems Before Sending an Urgent Message

A warning about a website does not always mean customers have trouble. Vercel Agent can now check these warnings before sending them onward. The warnings are called alerts, messages about a possible problem. Teams can choose to send only alerts marked Critical. This label identifies the problems Agent judges to be very serious.

Agent looks at records and numbers to understand the problem's effect. Some errors happen during checks but do not affect customers. Others keep happening when people try to complete a purchase. The tool uses this information when deciding how serious a warning is. Teams can add details to help it understand what to check.

To use the feature, teams choose where warning messages should go. They create or connect a connection in the settings for that check. They then choose Critical Only next to the selected connection. This turns on the extra check before messages reach that system. Teams can also set up these choices through Vercel's developer tools.

The feature needs a Pro or Enterprise plan with Observability Plus. That service includes ten Agent checks for each billing period. Extra checks have a separate charge, so more checks can cost more. The announcement also gives a price for custom checks of stored data. Teams need to consider these conditions when choosing the feature.

The change adds a decision between noticing a problem and notifying someone. It looks at effects instead of forwarding every warning in the same way. The setting applies to the connection that the team has selected. Agent sends warnings there only when it judges them to be Critical. Teams choose this setting separately for the connection where they want it.
